Thanks to our 2008 Communities of Light Sponsors
On Sunday, December 14th, 2008, SAFE in Hunterdon lit thousands of luminaries throughout Hunterdon County. The shining lights represented
our collective voice that perpetration of domestic violence will not be tolerated in our community and that we stand together to support victims of
domestic violence. On behalf of the staff, the board of trustees, and the clients we serve, we thank our sponsors for their generous contributions.
Did you know that the businesses and organizations below have all supported SAFE in
Hunterdon by holding their own fundraising events? SAFE in Hunterdon extends a
sincere thanks to all our supporters who help our organization continue to offer critical
services and programs to victims and survivors of violence and abuse.
A heartfelt thanks goes out to our dedicated volunteers, the backbone of our
organization. In 2008, our volunteers provided SAFE in Hunterdon with 16,000 hours of
service, representing nearly $200,000 that SAFE saved in payroll and labor costs.

ESCAPE
More than 50 golfers joined SAFE in Hunterdon to compete for a cause at Copper Hill Country Club, one of Hunterdon County's most exclusive
golf courses, on June 30th. In addition to the chance to win a hole-in-one car donated by Flemington Car and Truck Country, prizes were
awarded for longest drive, closest to the pin, pot of gold and low gross. A basket raffle and 50/50 were held, and golfers received golf shirts and
souvenir golf balls. The event raised over 10,000 dollars after expenses, all of which will go towards supporting the services and programs that
SAFE offers to thousands of victims and survivors of domestic and sexual abuse each year.
Thanks to our 2009 Golf Outing sponsors and supporters that made this event possible!
