SAFE in Hunterdon is seeking a talented and visionary leader for the position of Executive Director to direct all
aspects of a Domestic and Sexual Abuse agency functioning with a multidisciplinary approach in a suburban/rural
community in New Jersey. The non-profit organization maintains an operating budget of two million dollars. It is
substantially reliant upon fund raising efforts and various resources from county, state and federal levels.
Responsibilities:
• Management of a multidisciplinary team of 7 and overall responsibility for approximately 50 employees.
• Resourcefulness and leadership in community outreach, program planning, strategic budgeting, evaluation and
reporting, organizational development, human resources, fundraising, legislative and public policy advocacy,
public affairs and public relations.
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Social Work, Women’s Studies, Public Administration or related field
• A minimum of 5 years management experience in a non-profit organization with senior level supervisory experience
in fiscal management, grant writing/management, public relation and fund development.
• Work history in a domestic and/or sexual abuse agency is preferred.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills to professionally and appropriately represent the organization
to the community, county and the state.
