Flemington, NJ –Destinations Personal Fitness Coaching hosted “Calories for a Cause,” a fundraising workout event on September 23 to benefit
SAFE in Hunterdon, the county’s domestic and sexual abuse crisis agency. Participants collected pledges and donations based on how many
calories they burned during the workouts with a Destinations’ world-class trainer. Just over $1,600 was raised.
Four participants burned more than 1,000 calories in the hour! Dave Gansfuss won with the most calories for the men’s group. He burned
1,304 calories in the hour. Ingrid Noonan burned 1,174 calories to win for the women.
“In an average session at Destinations, a participant normally burns between 400 and 900 calories,” says Susan Kibler, owner of Destinations.
“The techniques we use accelerate calorie burning both during and after the workout, so you get results and feel great.”
Dana Lane raised $370, the most money by a single participant. David Fields was a close second with $366.
The event was sponsored by the Holiday Inn Select in Clinton. They also succeeded in collecting the most donations: 28!

says Susan. “Our goal through this program was to increase awareness of the issues of domestic and sexual abuse in our county, as well as
raise much-needed funds so that SAFE can continue to support families in Hunterdon,” she added. “We are proud to be able to do our small
part to help forward SAFE’s mission.
