FLEMINGTON, NJ, NOVEMBER 4, 2009 – Since first coming to the area earlier this year, Investors Savings Bank has consistently
demonstrated a strong commitment to supporting victims and survivors of domestic and sexual abuse. For the grand opening of its newest
branch in Three Bridges in September, Investors invited the staff and supporters of SAFE in Hunterdon to participate in the two-day
celebration. During the new branch’s launch, SAFE’s staff was able to meet members of the community, talk about the agency’s services, and
raise awareness for its cause.
Investors collected donations from visitors, and donated $50 to SAFE for new accounts that were opened during the celebration. Over 350
people visited the branch over the weekend. In addition to opening new accounts, they entered into prize drawings and some got the chance
grab cash in Investors’ “money machine.” In total, Investors was able to donate over $2500 to SAFE in Hunterdon.
In addition, Investors Savings Bank was a premier sponsor for SAFE in Hunterdon’s signature event, “An Evening of Awareness,” which was
held on October 29th at Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club. As part of its $3,000 sponsorship, Investors supported the agency through a strong
presence at the event, as well as advertising in the evening’s ad journal.
SAFE in Hunterdon is also the recipient of a $10,000 grant award from the Investors Savings Bank Foundation, which will be used to help fund
a Teen Program Coordinator that will underpin the agency’s efforts to promote healthy relationships and safe dating practices in area youth.
The grant award enables SAFE to successfully launch the program, and engage teens as partners in preventing abuse in our communities. The
Investors Savings Bank Foundation enriches the lives of New Jersey citizens by supporting initiatives in the arts, education, youth development,
affordable housing, and health and human services.
