Our mission is to cultivate safety, empowerment and healing in an alliance with adults, teens, and children who are affected by domestic and sexual violence.
Join us in mobilizing the community to promote social change which will reduce power-based violence, control and oppression!
Through a 24-hour hotline, safe and transitional housing, legal advocacy, crisis intervention, individual and group counseling, community education, prevention services and PALS, a unique children’s creative arts therapy program, SAFE in Hunterdon delivers critical support services to the many families that have experienced violence in their lives. All of our services are confidential and all crisis services are free of charge.

Diversity Values

SAFE in Hunterdon seeks to empower all individuals to live safe, enriched lives free from abuse respecting ethnicity, race, language, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, ability, class, and immigration status.  In an atmosphere of inclusion and sensitivity, SAFE in Hunterdon enforces a zero tolerance policy for any discriminatory behavior on the part of anyone affiliated with the agency, including but not limited to staff, volunteers, and/or board members.  As a reflection of its cultural competence, SAFE in Hunterdon will continue to actively recruit staff of various backgrounds and maintain diversity training as a component of employee in-services and its mandatory Domestic and Sexual Abuse curriculum.
