“We cannot start over, but we can begin now and make a new ending.” – Zig Zigler

SAFE in Hunterdon’s programs and services to victims and survivors are FREE* of charge and CONFIDENTIAL.

Working with individuals and families touched by domestic and sexual violence, SAFE in Hunterdon seeks to empower victims and survivors in an attempt to break the cycle of violence. Those affected by domestic and sexual violence have access to a 24-hour hotline, crisis intervention teams, emergency safe housing for victims and their children, transitional housing, legal advocacy, individual and group counseling, creative arts therapy, community education, prevention services, and Peace: A Learned Solution, a children’s program. SAFE in Hunterdon delivers critical support services to the many families in our communities that have experienced violence in their lives.

We at SAFE in Hunterdon believe that survivors are the experts on their own lives and safety. As such, our programs focus on empowering individuals to make their own decisions, rather than making those critical choices for them. Several programs and teams have been developed to ensure that our goal of providing safety, shelter, advocacy and support to all those in need are successfully met.

*There are program fees for Transitional Housing.
