| SAFE in Hunterdon is a not-for profit agency serving victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. MISSION STATEMENT In an atmosphere of professionalism and excellence, our mission is to: Reduce the prevalence of intimate violence in society. Provide safety through free and confidential services for victims and survivors of domestic abuse and sexual assault including all ages, genders, cultures, religions and sexual orientations. Empower victims, survivors and their families to live enriched lives free from violence. Heighten our community's awareness of domestic violence and sexual assault through risk reduction education. |

SAFE in Hunterdon needs you to make a difference in the lives of
the women and families we serve. By volunteering with SAFE in
Hunterdon, you can reach out to those who suffer from violence in
their lives. Comfort who have been assaulted or abused and are
finding a way back to a life of peace and wholeness.
What Can I do? Do I have any skills that would be helpful>
Many people are unaware of their talents. A gentleman who is a
good cook may downplay that skill because he has always "just
loved cooking". A young lady who has always been "a people
person" may not recognize the value of this skill. Each of us has
a skill that becomes valuable when we share it with others.
Maybe you just enjoy children and can help watch after children
while mom is attending a counseling session!
In fact, SAFE in Hunterdon has a wide-array of volunteer

There are certain companies who participate in a program which
financially matches any gifts contributed to specific organizations
or agencies they choose to support. This program allows people
to have their contributions to eligible organizations multiplied in
value. Ask your company if they partake in this type of
